According to WBZ 4 in Boston, Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers immediately started devising a plan to safely remove the bears from the tree.

So many times it ends up the bears have to be killed. But I'm happy to say in this case neither bear was harmed. Officers were able to tranquilize the mama bear first. A few minutes later the baby was also tranquilized, and caught in a giant tarp.

Environmental police told WBZ that both bears were taken to a "wooded location" and released.
