Two Men Face Assault Charges In Portsmouth [NEWS]

(Portsmouth, NH) - Two men are facing charges after their arrest in connection with an assault that left one person with head injuries.

Portsmouth Police say they responded to a report of a domestic related fight involving a hammer and a knife. A victim was taken to the hospital and treated after being hit in the head with a hammer. Police located two suspects driving away from the area. 18 year old Calvan Burr of Portsmouth was charged with  1st degree assault , criminal threatening and simple assault. 22 year old Myles Burr of Rollinsford was charged with criminal threatening and simple assault.

Both men were held overnight and await arraignment in Portsmouth District Court.
