Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing attacks.

Tsarnaev, 21, was found guilty in April of conspiracy and usage of a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death, among many other counts. The April 15th, 2013 bombing claimed three lives, followed by the shooting death of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier three days later.

The two homemade pressure-cooker bombs at the marathon's finish line had also injured 264 people.

His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed in a gunfight with police in Watertown, Massachusetts three days after the attack.
