After being looked at like I was out on a day pass from the rest home this weekend because I had never heard of the video game 'Oregon Trail.' I got to thinking...am I in the minority of people who don't play video games on their phone/computer?

I clearly remember playing 'Pong' with my brother when it first came out. My dad hooked it up to the tiny television in my parent's room. But I think we both got bored with it after a short amount of time.

It was then in the 80's when I was in a teenager that video games exploded. Pac-Man, Mrs. Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Donkey Kong among scores of others I don't remember.

I don't remember them because I didn't play them. I never got into hanging inside the house or an arcade and just staring at a computer game for hours on end.

I'm not knocking them. I'm sure my lack of computer knowledge and patience has something to do with not playing the games. Sure, I can type a pretty decent amount of words per minute, but nowadays with texting and typos being the norm, my WPM doesn't really matter.

And what about all these invites on Facebook to come play...

Candy Crush, Buggle and a bunch of other games I've never heard of. For the love of Pete, stop asking me to play these dang games. I've managed to avoid them for XX years, I don't think I'll start at this stage of my life. But, speaking of Facebook, why don't you take a look at The Morning Waking Crew's Facebook page.  If you haven't already, 'like us!'
