Weirs Beach Drive-In May Be Closing Soon

Say it ain't so! One of the first drive-in theaters in New Hampshire, and a Granite State staple since 1948, may be entering its final season.

The Union Leader reports that the theater is up for sale and more than likely the space will be a four season resort. While this makes perfect economic sense, I can't help but be a little sad that an iconic theater will be leaving. Drive-in theaters are an experience that everyone needs to have on a summer night in New England.

The Weirs Beach Drive In Theater is open this weekend and showing Mad Max, American Sniper, Cinderella, and The Fast & Furious 7. It probably isn't a good sign that their website domain appears not to have been renewed, but you can find showtimes on their facebook page.
