Blake Shelton has found himself in the midst of another battle with Westboro Baptist Church, this time after a months-old eight-minute open letter video message from the church went viral.

On Sunday (Aug. 7), the "She Has a Way with Words" singer responded to attacks from the church on Twitter.

"I see y'all are back at it!! Did y'all ever expand your gene pool or are you still nailing your immediate family members?," he tweeted.

The church's response was that they are still pleading with Shelton "to put away your sexual perversion (proud adultery) & seek God's mercy!"

This isn't the first time the Westboro Baptist Church have attacked Shelton. Three years ago, they released a parody of Shelton's "Boys 'Round Here" with a song that blasted the singer for his second marriage to Miranda Lambert. Church members have also picketed his concerts in the past.

And he's not the only one. In 2013, Vince Gill also found picketers at one of his concerts where his relationship with Amy Grant was the subject of hatred because Gill divorced and then married Grant. A Westboro church member said that “divorce plus remarriage equals adultery," which didn't sit well with the country legend.

“Don’t you know that you f—ers are lucky that you don’t have a sign that says something about my wife?” Gill remarked when approaching the picketers, a face-to-face interaction which was caught on video. “I just came to see what hate looked like.”

“He said a lot of stuff about forgiveness, about grace,” Gill insisted when told it was Jesus Christ who made the adultery comments, adding, “You guys don’t have any of it.”
