Pistorius Sentenced to five years
Legal experts say the maximum five year sentence for Oscar Pistorius in the death of his girlfriend means he could move to house arrest in as little as eight months. The double-amputee Olympic runner was sentenced today in South Africa in the shooting death of Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius starts serving the sentence immediately.

Two children die in 4-alarm fire in Lawrence 
The State Fire Marshal's office in Massachusetts has confirmed two children have died following an early morning four-alarm blaze in Lawrence. The boys, were found in a bedroom of a third-floor apartment of the multi-unit building.

Maine man charged with throwing baby down stairs
A Wayne man has been charged with throwing his 3-month-old son down a flight of stairs, causing a skull fracture. Authorities say 39-year-old William Lord Jr. was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence assault on a child less than 6 years old and domestic violence terrorizing. He was held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail following a court hearing Monday afternoon. Police say the child was unsecured in a car safety seat when the intoxicated Lord threw him down the stairs at about 3:30 a.m. Monday. The boy's mother took the child to the hospital where he was treated for skull fracture that is not considered life threatening. Lord is being held in jail and it's unclear if he has a lawyer.
