Drunk Driver Tries (Unsuccessfully) to Drive Around Concord Sinkhole

(Concord, NH) - I-93 northbound in Concord has reopened to traffic after a giant sinkhole yesterday forced closure of the roadway for several hours.

While State Police were dealing with the traffic problems at the scene , 55 year old Thomas Connor of Chichester drove around the signs, traffic cones and flags used to close the northbound lanes. He began to berate construction workers for being in his was before he was stopped by police and charged with Aggravated D.W.I.

State Police say a breath test showed Connor had a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit. Connor will be arraigned on the charge next month in Concord District Court.
