If racing isn't your cup of tea, you're more than welcome to join me at the Blue Ocean Music Hall tonight in Salisbury, Mass.  It's gonna be a 'Helluva show' with "Helluva Life" singer, Frankie Ballard.  Plus, friend of the Morning Waking Crew, Ayla Brown will be opening up the show.

On Friday night, Mark and I will see you at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom for the one and only, Travis Tritt!  It promises to be a great show.

Saturday, our midday guy, Mark Jennings will hanging at the Bank of NH Pavilion at Meadowbrook for the Jennifer Nettles, Indigo Girls and Brandy Clark concert.

Sunday, I'll be on the air from noon-4pm.

Father to be charged with kids' deaths
Investigators in Spring, Texas plan to charge a man in the shooting deaths of four of his children and two adults in a suburban Houston home. Deputies went to the scene last night after getting a 911 call from the man's 15-year-old daughter, who was also shot and critically wounded. Authorities say she was able to warn deputies that her father was headed to her grandparents' home to kill them. The father, who was upset about his broken marriage, was taken into custody following a three-hour stand-off in his car.

Several Missing After Lowell Apartment Blaze
Authorities say several people are unaccounted for after an early morning fire in a Lowell, Ma apartment building. The three-alarm blaze was reported at about 3:30 a.m. on Branch Street this morning. State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan says the cause remains under investigation.

Drowning Victim Identified
New Hampshire Marine Patrol officers have identified a man who drowned in a lake in Ossipee on the Fourth of July. Authorities say 65-year-old Robert Madden of Huntington Station, New York drowned while swimming in Duncan Lake.

Stupid News

Three alleged bank robbers were arrested after one failed to remove a demand note from his jacket.  Police in Japan were called to a dry cleaning shop when the owner found a note reading "put the money in the bag, don't say a word or I will kill you."  The note was in a pair of pants.  Further investigation lead police to arrest three suspects on charges on bank robbery.

While walking the golden streets of heaven.  Don's wife said to him.  Wow, isn't this place wonderful.  Don said, yes it is and if you hadn't made me eat that darn oat bran, we could have been here ten years earlier!
