Deadly Storms In New York
Investigators will be in central New York today to determine whether it was a tornado that ripped through Smithfield last night, killing four people. Officials say numerous homes are destroyed or damaged and more than 70,000 homes and businesses are without power. In Maryland, a child was killed and several others were injured at a summer camp when a tree fell.

Exeter Man Expected In Court Today
An Exeter man faces armed robbery charges in two knifepoint stories holdups in Portsmouth over the past two weeks. Police say William Flibotte will be arraigned on the new charges today. He was arrested last week on drug charges.

Medications Stolen From Skowhegan Homeless Shelter
Police are investigating the theft of about $1,000 in prescription medications from a Skowhegan homeless shelter. Police Chief Ted Blais says the theft from a locked cabinet at the Trinity Men's Shelter was reported last weekend.

A chef in Louisiana was going about his business when he discovered GOD in his eggplant.

Joke du Jour

After completing the examination of his patient, the doctor told him to get dressed.  As he was finishing up, the doctor said the patients condition was very poor.  He went on to say the best thing he could do was to give up liquor, stop smoking and stop eating fatty food.  The patient asked the doctor - 'what's the second best thing?'
