Can you imagine waking up in the morning, checking your Facebook feed and seeing a post from your town's police department saying the entire force resigned, effective immediately? That's just what happened in one Massachusetts community.

The entire Blandford Police Department resigned Monday evening. They posted instructions for the town's residents on what to do and who to call if there was any type of emergency.

An article in the Boston Globe says the police force consisted of three officers and an interim police chief. The report says the sheriff's office and Massachusetts State Police have reached out to the small western Mass town to make sure there is coverage. The reports also says the reason the interim chief and officers gave for the resignations were 'unsafe working conditions.'

As you can see from the Facebook page below, the resignations were effective, immediately!
