Plunge Weekend is February 3-4 at Hampton Beach.

Saturday, February 3rd is the High School Plunge. Students and faculty from schools around the Granite State raise money and take the plunge into the frigid waters of Hampton Beach.

Sunday, February 4th is the 19th annual PENGUIN PLUNGE. Hundreds brave the weather and dress in their finest costumes to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics of New Hampshire. No matter the weather, these brave souls have so much fun running into the water.

The good news this year is that it will be close to high tide during the plunge on both days. If you were there last year, you remember the long, very, very, very long run into the water!

WMUR's Mike Haddad and Kevin Skarupa along with WOKQ's Mark Ericson and myself will see you at the plunge. Registration is still open if you want to plunge. Remember it's free to come down and cheer on those plunging for a great cause!

PS...We also know that Sunday Feb. 4th is the day of the Big Game. Don't worry, you'll be home in plenty of time to see the Patriots beat the Eagles!
