Townsquare Media New Hampshire in conjunction with Grappone Automotive Group is proud to present this year's Year of Service awards!

 

The Year of Service program, in its 30th year, is a comprehensive on-air and digital program designed to make a significant contribution to New Hampshire non-profit organizations. We're currently accepting applications for the 2018 Year of Service Awards. 

 

This charitable initiative, underwritten by Grappone Automotive Group, supports nine granite state non-profits on four Townsquare Media radio stations (102.1 & 105.3 The Shark, 97.5 WOKQ, 94.9 WHOM, and 103.7 The Peak). It consists of one $100,000 campaign for our overall winner and eight quarterly awards for our additional partners. These public service campaigns will aim to increase awareness for the following incredible organizations:

Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Many health professionals believe granting these wishes influences the physical and mental well-being of the children involved. Their chapter is one of 62 chapters across the country under the guidance of Make-A-Wish® America however, they are fortunate to operate as a separate 501c3 in the state of New Hampshire. Half Moon Sober Festival Inc.

 

The Half Moon Sober Festival Inc. is a New England based, non-profit Tax-exempt Corporation with offices throughout the region. Their primary purpose is to provide an affordable alcohol and drug free environment in which individuals and families can come together to learn and grow. They accomplish this through a series of sober dances, comedy shows, and other social events leading up to an annual four-day multi-cultural camping experience. New Horizons for New Hampshire

New Horizons for New Hampshire operates a soup kitchen, food pantry, an emergency homeless shelter at 199 Manchester Street and Angie's Shelter for Women on Union Street. Their organization was founded in 1979. Their mission is to provide food and shelter to people in need and offer supportive services to achieve self-sufficiency. Seacoast Science Center

 

The Seacoast Science Center located in Odiorne Point State Park is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to educate to motivate. Ocean education is what they do. Through programs, exhibits, and marine mammal rescue, they inform everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, about why a healthy ocean matters. Because ocean health impacts our daily lives, their goal is to inspire all people to make everyday choices that will have a positive impact on the health of the ocean. Tri-County Community Action Program, Inc.

 

Tri-County Community Action Program, Inc., is part of a nationwide Community Action Partnership, dedicated to fighting the causes and effects of poverty and encouraging self-sufficiency as an IRS approved nonprofit organization.  Tri-County CAP has been around for over 50 years and has roots in the social justice movements of the 60s and 70s. Aubrielle’s Hope

Their mission is to be one glimmer of hope and love in a devastating situation of loss. With the mounting bills that come with NICU stays, medical interventions, and funeral expenses, it is their goal to alleviate some of that burden by offering grieving families monetary donations to take some of the strain from the cost of funeral, cremation, and burial expenses. When a family is approved, their monetary donation goes directly to the business providing the funeral, cremation or burial service. Skate for the 22 Foundation

 

Each day, statistically, 22 Military Veterans take their own lives. The Skate for the 22 Foundation was formed to reduce that tragically high number. They provide hockey, learn to skate, and skills development sessions at no cost to their players. They do this to get Veterans back into a supportive, team environment. They also increase public awareness of the significant rate of Veteran suicide, provide financial assistance and other support to families of Veteran suicide victims along with scholarships to their children and conduct suicide awareness and prevention seminars. HAVEN is the merged agency of A Safe Place and Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) and is the largest violence prevention and support 5013c nonprofit organization in New Hampshire.
