You Should Know There is a 5K in Dover on Saturday

Whether you want to participate or avoid the road closures, you should know that there is a 5K in Dover this weekend.

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire's 5K Road Race & Fun Run gets underway at 9am, with registration and bib pick-up activities starting at 7:30am.

Looking to run or walk? Sign up before Saturday for $22 or opt for same day registration at $25. Kids up to age 12 can run their choice of 1/4 or 1/2 mile race for $8 in advance, $10 Saturday. There is also a 50 yard dash for the kids, free of charge

Children up to age 12 can register for Fun Run events including a 50-yard dash, and 1/4 and 1/2-mile races. All Fun Run participants receive a blue ribbon, plus water, snacks, face painting and more. Fee for 1/4 and 1/2-mile races is $8 in advance, $10 on race day. No fee for 50-yard dash.

Roads that are part of the route include Central Ave, Chapel Street, Portland Ave and those adjacent to Henry Law Park. Here is a virtual look at the race.
