Lockdown fatigue has many of us looking down, but Canobie Lake Amusement park opening provides some hope, especially to those with little kids that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.  According to derrynews.com, Canobie Lake Amusement park is taking numerous precautions to keep visitors safe.  There will be enhanced cleaning throughout the park.  The park experience will be different from previous years as they are limiting the capacity of guests to 25% and make sure you make reservations.  With limits to park capacity and everyone looking to get out, they will surely fill up quickly.

While you won’t see the traditional Canobie Lake Park’s Fun Squad hula-hooping, they have an even better plan.  The Fun Squad will be dressed up with ‘Ghostbuster-like’ backpacks filled with hand sanitizer so they can make social distancing and sanitizing fun according to derrynews.com.  That sounds like such a brilliant idea.  All park guests and employees will have to mask up, or at least those over the age of 3.  When you ride those coasters, remember not to scream because that would carry droplets that may go through your mask.  Yea that could be tough. Scream in your heart.  All visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and will get their temperature taken.

Another precaution the park is taking is to keep employees in groups in case contact tracing becomes necessary if someone falls ill.  It is a 65-acre outdoor space but still, Gov. Chris Sununu told the derrynews.com “We aren’t going to prevent it, but if you are over 60 or have an underlying health condition, I would advise against going.  People can make their own personal decisions, but there is a lot of risks, to be sure.”  It certainly seems like Canobie Lake Amusement Park has taken every precaution to keep visitors safe.
