On March 19th, Agave Mexican Bistro in Portsmouth took to Facebook to announce that they will be closed until the stay at home order is lifted.

According to Seacoast Online, this week they shared with a heavy heart that they will not be reopening their Congress St. location.

The paper states that this appears to be the second Portsmouth restaurant that has been forced to close as a result of the pandemic. The first was Lure Bar and Kitchen on Market St.

The good news? Their location in Newburyport plans to stay open! Today (May 1st) they will be starting curbside pickup and takeout.

My happy place is sitting outside on a warm Summer day sipping a jalapeno margarita and stuffing my face with chips and guac. I will be fantasizing about this until it can be a reality.
