Exploring Portland, Maine: Dog-Friendly Restaurants Serving Great Lobster Rolls
One of my favorite things about Portland, Maine is that you don't have to choose between spending time with your dog and enjoying some of the best seafood in the state. If I'm heading into Portland and craving a lobster roll, these are a few places where I can grab one and bring my dog along.
Portland Lobster Company
180 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101
Portland Lobster Company is right on the waterfront and has plenty of outdoor seating. Their lobster roll is packed with fresh lobster and served on a toasted roll. I like that I can sit outside, enjoy the harbor views, and have my dog with me instead of leaving them behind.
Luke's Lobster Portland Pier
60 Portland Pier, Portland, ME 04101
Luke's is another great waterfront spot. Their lobster roll is simple, fresh, and full of lobster meat. The outdoor seating area is dog-friendly, which makes it an easy stop when I'm walking around the Old Port.
Eventide Oyster Co.
86 Middle St, Portland, ME 04101
Eventide is known for its brown-butter lobster roll, which is a little different from the traditional version but definitely worth trying. They have outdoor seating where dogs are welcome, so it's a good option if you're looking for something unique.
The Porthole Restaurant & Pub
20 Custom House Wharf, Portland, ME 04101
The Porthole has a laid-back waterfront atmosphere and a great lobster roll. Their outdoor seating area is dog-friendly, making it a comfortable place to relax with good food after spending the day exploring Portland.
Overall, these restaurants make it easy to enjoy a classic Maine lobster roll without having to leave your dog at home. Between the waterfront views, outdoor seating, and fresh seafood, each one offers a great Portland experience.
