Come take a step back into time with me to a home that is actually older than the entire nation and also, up for sale!

If you think that your 50 year old home is “vintage” you may want to rethink that.

Step aside ya’ll because this historic home at 252 Essex Street in Beverly, Massachusetts is aging extremely well.

The home is currently listed by Engel & Volkers By the Sea.

History buffs will absolutely eat this place up because the current owner has done their research and dug deep into the home's past and is ready to share every fascinating detail with you!

This beauty was built by William Cleaves Fisherman way back in the year 1675.

Guys, that's 350 years old. 350 years of memories, stories, family feuds, probably horse stuff, love-making, and so much more that involves butter churning bonnet-wearing babes.

The gorgeous home is fit with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a massive 2,315 square foot, as per by the sea.

How much are they asking?

For a whopping $600,000, you can own a piece of American history in the glorious state of Massachusetts. And may I also add that price is pretty reasonable for a place that was around before the United States of America was born in 1776.

Amie Keefe, and KC Films and Photography took photos of the property and I immediately noticed how cozy this home is!

Here’s the difference though, if you want the modern amenities that we are used to, you’ll probably have to do some renovations. Back then, there were no granite countertops and the floor boards stretched to 24 inches wide, which is three times the width of today’s average floorboard, as per the listing.

What did the house live through?

Okay, this is so interesting because if you think back 350 years, so many crazy things took place. The Salem Witch Trials is the first thing I can think of. Were any alleged witches residing in that home, at that time? You never know. Boy, if walls could talk, they would have a lot to say! And don’t even get me started on the Battle of Bunker Hill. Can you imagine a captain or someone super important hunkering down in this very house at that time?

You could live in this 2,315 square foot living piece of history!

What’s inside?

As per the listing, you will find a fireplace in the living room that screams comfy and because of those beautifully wide wooden floors there is plenty of space for any type of furniture you want to put in!

When winter is finally finished in New England and the snow melts away you will also be treated with beautiful gardens and cobblestones in the yard that are oh so charming.

Do you want to buy this historic home?

If you are interested in making this your dream home, you’ll have to schedule a private showing!
