Too Hot? Think Christmas With This Amazing Shop in North Conway, New Hampshire
The Christmas Loft in North Conway, New Hampshire, is a cure for the dog days of summer.
My first visit to the Christmas Loft made me giggle. First, it was one of those sunny hot days this summer is becoming known for. I was wiping sweat off my brow just before going inside. I couldn't believe what I had walked into. It started with a cow greeting me, then a tree! I took a video trying to capture all of it. It's impossible to capture all of it without having a three-hour video. So I took a two-and-a-half-minute video instead.
How did the Christmas Loft in North Conway come to be?
The Christmas Loft has been around since 1984, and is a family-run love affair with Christmas. No matter what you are looking for in holiday decor, you'll find it. They've got room after room of collectibles that aren't just displayed on shelves, but on gorgeous Christmas trees. And then there's Chester the chestnut guy, who says (in the most Maine accent):
Chestnuts. Get your fresh hot chestnuts here.
Somehow, he seems to be the most memorable character. I think you know why...
The Christmas Loft in North Conway has New England's largest selection of ornaments.
Need an ornament? The Christmas Loft has THE largest selection of ornaments in New England. They have over 10,000 unique ornaments, and if you are visiting, grab your New Hampshire ornament. I guarantee you've never seen anything like it. I swear Santa's workshop has got nothing on the Christmas Loft.
And definitely stop by the sister shop right next door, Tricks and Treats. Sure, it's heavy on Halloween, but the treats can be perfect in the summer.
These two North Conway MUST-SEE places are nestled in the White Mountains, so you get fun shopping with a great view!
If you are traveling to North Conway, make the Christmas Loft your new habit. Everyone can use a boost of Christmas spirit, no matter what time of year it is!
