2024 Data Reveals Most Popular Massachusetts Ice Cream Stand in the State
Massachusetts's Favorite Ice Cream
In the Summer, is there anything better than ice cream? Even mediocre ice cream is good. New Englanders will eat ice cream year 'round the same way we get Dunkin' iced coffee.
Massachusetts, of course, is known to many foodies for the pastries in the North End of Boston or the clam chowder at Legal Seafood, but it might surprise some that Richardson's Ice Cream out of Middleton, Massachusetts is the regional favorite and to the locals, it's very well-known and well-loved.
According to traceone.com, the people who decided these stats, they gathered data from Google Trends for the 12 month period ending in April of 2024. In short, the most-searched regional brand in each state represented the most popular.
That same article states that 90% of Americans like ice cream. (duh....) U.S. ice cream makers produce more than 1.38 billion (with a b) gallons annually, and the bulk of that is consumed in the warmer months. That's a lot of lactose. I'm getting cramps just thinking about it.
Richardson's Ice Cream in Middleton, Massachusetts
Even though Richardson's Ice Cream stand is in Middleton, you might not have to make the drive to enjoy it's creamy goodness. My ice cream place in downtown Raymond, New Hampshire carries Richardson's. That's how I know the joy of Blueberry Pie Ice Cream which is vanilla ice cream, pie crust crumbles and blueberry pie filling. Yes, it IS as delicious as it sounds. If that doesn't float your boat, check out the other flavors here. They even have fat free flavors, if that's what you want.
New England's Most Popular Ice Cream
The same data claims that every state in New England has a favorite national brand, Ben & Jerry's.
