9 Things You Need to Know Before You Visit the NE Aquarium

So many people have said to me that they want to go to the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts ever since I made a visit there recently. It's no wonder, it's a magical place.

There are many things that you will discover on your own if you travel from the Seacoast in New Hampshire to Boston, but you should be prepared.

For example, be prepared to bring your wallet. Admission to the aquarium is $44 for an adult, children 3 - 11 get in for $35 and 2 years old and under are free. I'm assuming that children who are 12 - 17 years old are charged a full adult price. Yowza. Is it worth it? Every. Second.

New England Residents Get a Discount

If you are a New England resident, you get $5 off your admission ticket, which at first I thought was a senior discount until I asked, with a highly insulted look on my face. The person at the desk said that I am from NH, so I don't pay as much. SWEET! Sorry for the face.

Bring your sneakers, Bub

Another tip for you is to bring your walking shoes. Even if you are dropped off at the front door, you will be doing a lot of walking. The whole building is wheelchair and stroller equipped, so you'll have no issues there.

Speaking of strollers, the whole place is packed with kids. It's a perfect place to take them. I mention this because I guess I wasn't expecting THAT many children. I was wrong, they are everywhere. Kids will be kids, they are loud, run when they should be walking and sometimes will bump into you, but they are having the time of their lives WITHOUT THEIR PHONES.

Take your children to the Aquarium. Take yourself to the Aquarium. You'll discover beautiful things from this world that most of us will never see otherwise.
