There's going to be a Happy Gilmore 2, and Travis Kelce, KC Chiefs Tight End and Taylor Swift's boyfriend, is going to be in the movie, according to The Tonight Show.

The news came out a few months ago, when Adam was talking about it on the Dan Patrick Show.  He said that he told Shooter McGavin that he might be working on a Happy 2.  Shooter did what bad guys do, and told a couple DJ's who, of course, always keep secrets, according to the Dan Patrick Show via YouTube.

Auditions are going on right now in New Jersey, but there might be more to come as the production continues.

Bob Barker was a big part of the original movie.  Not because he had a lot of screen time, but because of the scene Bob was in.  No plans on who will beat up Happy in the sequel, but now that we know Travis Kelce is going to be in the movie, that might be a good choice for the brawl.

The original Happy Gilmore was filmed at a golf course in Canada, according to golf.com, but Adam said that he would be filming on the East Coast of the good ol' U.S of A.  He told Dan Patrick that he could probably drive to the auditions.  Dan's show is based out of Connecticut.

Dover, New Hampshire, Single Mom

I have to tell you a heartwarming story about the O.G. Happy Gilmore.

When my son Colin and I were living in a small apartment in Dover, New Hampshire, in the mid-nineties, it was just the two of us.  I was newly divorced, and my son was having a really hard time with his parents split.  As much as I would like to say that he was fine, he was not.  He was devastated.

One of the things that the two of us liked to do was go to the movies.  It was mom and son time, complete with all the popcorn we could eat.  I'll admit, when Happy Gilmore came out, he may have been a little too young to see it, but I took him anyway.  We both laughed until we had tears in our eyes at so many scenes.  When the DVD came out, it would be one of the only things that got him to laugh again after our divorce.  Sad story, to be sure, but now I hope you understand what that movie means to us.

To this day, my son and I quote that movie.  We will definitely watch Happy Gilmore 2 together, and no matter what, we are going to love it.  No pressure, Adam.

The movie is coming to Netflix, but no release date yet.

More Auditions Coming

Keep your eyes and ears open for the auditions, and I will too.  Follow every casting agent from here to there, and maybe we can get a spot next to the one and only Adam Sandler.
