The family of Drew Ceppetelli, the Barrington woman killed in a Thanksgiving morning car crash, has created a scholarship in her memory as the investigation continues into the crash.

Fundraising for the Drew Cepp Scholarship Fund began on what would have been her 22nd birthday, at the Wednesday season opener for the Somersworth/Coe-Brown boys hockey team with the sale of a special sticker. Ticket sales for the game at Rochester Arena, which started with a moment of silence, were also donated to the fund.

The team on its Facebook page said it raised $4,056 and sold out of the stickers, but will reorder more. The stickers can also be purchased via Venmo: @SHSCBNA-BearcatsHockey. Please indicate "sticker" with your purchase and include quantity and mailing instructions.

Ceppetelli is a 2019 graduate of Coe-Brown. Her brothers Drew graduated from the school in June, and Dante both played with the Bearcats.

Making Drew Proud

Donations from a GoFundMe page, which her mother Melissa Ceppetelli said would go towards something "that will make Drew smile down on us", will also go towards the scholarship fund.

"We promise to do good things with this money to keep her legacy going and alive," Melissa wrote in an update on the GoFundMe page.

Ceppetelli was a junior at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, and was captain of the softball team. She was weeks away from receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.

Crash Investigation is Ongoing

Ceppetelli was one of six people, including driver Tyler N. Troy, 22, of Northwood, ejected from a Porsche Macan when it flipped several times as it came south from the Route 1 Bypass around 1:15 a.m. early Thanksgiving morning.

New Hampshire State Police on Friday told Seacoast Current the investigation into the crash is active and ongoing. The state Liquor Commission's Division of Enforcement is also involved in the investigation. No arrests have been made.
