🔴 Michael Arrington, 28, of Orlando fled a traffic stop in Portsmouth

🔴 He sped away from New Hampshire State Police at a gas station briefly dragging a trooper

🔴 Arrington faces a number of charges, including aggravated DUI

A Florida man led New Hampshire State Police on a two-state chase that included dragging a trooper for a short time on Thursday night.

New Hampshire State Police were notified of a 2014 Audi Q5 that left a traffic stop on Islington Street with Portsmouth Police around 10:05 p.m. Five minutes later, the driver, Michael Anthony Arrington of Orlando, was spotted at the Shell station on the Route 1 Bypass.

As troopers approached his vehicle, Arrington started up the Audi and sped away without his lights on, dragging one of them a short distance. He suffered minor injuries and was treated and later released from a hospital.

The vehicle was briefly spotted in Kittery by police, who lost sight of him. A New Hampshire trooper then saw the Audi heading south on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, but Arrington failed to stop and sped away. After a brief pursuit, Arrington stopped and was taken into custody without incident. He gave troopers a false identification.

Arrington was held at the Rockingham House of Corrections on two counts of aggravated driving under the influence or liquor, three counts of disobeying an officer, two counts of reckless conduct, two counts of resisting arrest, and operating after revocation or suspension.
