SHOW US YOUR SKILLS APP CONTEST RULES
- How to Enter the Contest:
- The contest (“SHOW US YOUR SKILLS”) will begin on Monday, March 5th at 12:00AM and will end on Sunday, March 25th at 11:59PM.
- The ONLY way to enter the contest is through the 97.5 WOKQ MOBILE APP. All entries MUST BE IN THE FORM OF A VIDEO SUBMISSION.
- Video files must be under 1 minute in length. Video files over 1 minute will NOT be eligible for entry in this contest.
- To participate in the Contest, listeners are invited to enter solely through the 97.5 WOKQ MOBILE APP. All entries must be received by March 25th at 11:59PM EST. Entries received after this time will be disqualified. Eligible entries will be video files sharing any kind basketball related tricks or attempts of children between the ages of 6 and 12 years of age. The Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. Station is not responsible for any lost, disconnected, dropped, misdirected or incomplete telephone calls. Station is also not responsible for mail that is lost, stolen, mutilated, wrongly delivered, postage due, illegible or untimely entries. Station is not responsible for any entries not received due to technological issues with the station app. Entrants may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Station.
- Limit of one (1) entry per person and one (1) entry per household.
- Entries sent in any other format, through any avenue other than the 97.5 WOKQ MOBILE APP, or to any other party will NOT be eligible.
- Eligibility Restrictions:
- The Contest is open to all persons who are legal United States citizens 18 years of age and older who reside in the WOKQ listening area. Employees of WOKQ, its licensee, Townsquare Media, their subsidiaries, affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Portsmouth/Dover/Rochester area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win. Immediate family shall include spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren and any other person residing within the same household.
- Participants in the Contest, over the age of 18, must possess a valid government issued photo identification.
- Contest winner must fill out a required Contest Winner release form as a condition of receiving their prize.
- By entering this contest, participants consent to the unrestricted use, publication, editing, broadcast, duplication and distribution by Station, or its representatives, now and in the future, whether for commercial sale or otherwise in any medium whatsoever, of any material submitted in connection with their participation in the Contest. All such material shall become the sole property of Station. Participants acknowledge and understand that Station is and shall be the sole and exclusive owners of the Contest material, including all copyrights and other intellectual property rights, and shall have the right to exploit the Contest performances in any manner and any media whatsoever. Participants hereby assign to Station, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors and assigns, whatever rights or interest they may now or ever have in the material for any other reason, including but not limited to any rights that they may have to any proceeds arising out of the production, sale or other use of the materials.
- By entering the Contest, entrants represent and warrant that they have read and accepted the official contest rules.
- Prizes:
- Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
- One (1) winner will be selected to win a prize for this contest. The winner will receive the 'JUNIOR GLOBETROTTER' prize for their child. The winner will get a 4-pack of tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Friday, March 30th at the SNHU Arena in Manchester for their family. The child (age 6-12) will get to join the team on the bench during the game and will receive a t-shirt and autographed basketball.
- Prizes are limited solely to those items explicitly set forth herein and shall not include any and all other expenses, incidentals or taxes that may arise out of the winner’s receipt of the Prize.
- Prizes will be awarded as is, with no written or express warranty.
- Selection of Winners:
- Decisions of station management with respect to the Contest are final.
- One winner will be chosen based solely on the discretion of the Station.
- If a finalist cannot be contacted within 48 hours, they will forfeit and an alternate winner may be selected.
- Conditions:
- Winner may be required to sign a release in order receive the Prize. Failure or refusal to execute the release will result in winner forfeiting the Prize. Pursuant to the liability release, winners will agree to hold WOKQ, its licensee, Townsquare Media their subsidiaries, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
- By participating in the Contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if applicable) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the Prize.
- The Station, in their discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
- The Station reserves the right in their discretion to modify the Contest rules and dates at any time for any reason. Material modifications shall be announced on-air, when practical. By participating in this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Contest rules, any modifications thereof, and by all other rules imposed by The Station. If due to circumstances beyond the control of Station, any event associated with this Contest, or the Prize, is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
- No purchase is necessary. The Contest is void where prohibited.
- Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the discretion of the Station.
- The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest or in the announcement of a Prize.
- Copies of the written Contest rules are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WOKQ, 292 Middle Rd., Dover, NH, 03820 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to WOKQ at PO Box 576, Dover, NH 03821.
- Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of greater or equal value at its sole discretion.
