For a year, the "Da Vinci Code" author asked me what flicks he should check out, until I got one wrong.

He's not just an author anymore. Now world-famous New Englander Dan Brown can add composer and musician to his resume. He's coming home to New Hampshire to perform his children's book with the Portsmouth Symphony.

During this time, I've been able to get back to my old reading habits. I've discovered that quite a few of my favorite authors are actually from New Hampshire, or at the very least have ties to it.

Dan Brown is in Florence Italy preparing the film adaption of his latest best seller "Inferno". Tom Hanks will once again play Harvard symbiologist Robert Langdon and will co-star with Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones.
