24/7

We say it a lot... "24/7" means always, all the time, non-stop.  What does that mean during the holidays?

Take WOKQ for instance... There is always someone on duty.  Round the clock coverage is needed to keep OKQ and its associated stations on the air.  Doesn't matter if it's Christmas day... Somebody's got to be here.  Same for police, fire, EMS, 911 operators and on and on it goes.  Christmas is that one day when ALMOST everything is shut down.  But not everything can be shutdown.  To my colleagues here, and to anyone anywhere who has to be working Christmas eve and/or Christmas day I say "thank you".  If there's someone in your life that has to be on duty during the holidays, be sure to thank them for their service to the rest of us!
