The Morning Waking Crew asked listeners for their 'expert' opinions on what they believe are some of the best day trips in New England.  A lot of the answers made me want to jump in my car and take off for the day!

Christine called in to the show and said her favorite day trip is to go shopping at Cabella's in Maine, then head back home to NH, but not before hitting Newick's for lunch! I love shopping but I think you know my stance on seafood.

Morning Waking Crew's Working for the Weekend

Tonight, tune into New Hampshire Public Television.  Mark Ericson will be hosting the annual Spring Auction from 9:00PM - midnight. The auction wraps up on Sunday, May 4th, so there is still time to BID HIGH AND BID OFTEN!

Tonight, News Director Don Briand will be hosting the 13th annual Dover Chamber's Sweeps Event at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.  Someone WILL win ten-thousand dollars.

Mark and Karen hope to see you tomorrow (Saturday, May 3) at Annie's Hallmark in Salem, NH.  Mark and 2K will be there from 11AM-2PM. Alex and Ani is having an 'energy infused' event at Annie's Hallmark, just in time for Mother's Day (hint, hint!)  Mark and Karen will also have the WOKQ Prize Wheel and you'll be able to register to win a pair of tickets to see Eric Church at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Joke du Jour

A young couple that had been married for a few years but had no children went to their priest and asked what they should do.  The priest replied that he would light some candles while he visited the Vatican.  When the priest returned from his trip, the couple has three sets of twins and the wife was expecting once again. The priest congratulated her but asked where her husband was. The wife replied: He went to the Vatican to blow out those candles!
