Maine School Refused This Picture for the Yearbook, but the Reason Given Is Odd
Tara is a senior at Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham, Maine. She wants this photo for her senior picture. The school said no, and then explained why.
Tara is posing with her 11-month-old son, Lucas. Lucas is her everything, and she wants to have him with her in the yearbook. The school said no because since Lucas isn't graduating, it would be confusing.
Tara says that people pose with animals and even guns, but she can't pose with her son because people might think this 11-month-old is graduating?
If senior photos can feature animals, cars, guns ect then why should my son not be allowed in my photo?
Other students agree with her and think she should be allowed to have her son in the picture.
What do you think?
