Bad Santa Keeps it Real

This is at the door at my parents house and because I'm not quite right I find it pretty funny. No? You don't see it? Probably just as well. Be that as it may, it's time to deck the halls what with only two weeks (and change) to go until Christmas. This year we're keeping it real. Normally we'd have had our tree up by now but we've decided to go natural. Our plastic tree has seen any number of apartments and moves-- it showed some serious signs of strain last year and it may be time to retire it. Artificial trees shouldn't lose their needles, right? I grew up with real trees and miss the smell and the challenge of placing ornaments in those branchless holes in the tree. I think what clinched it was how over the weekend it seemed every other car had a tree strapped around it, and I'm choosing to overlook what an incredible hassle that can be. Now can someone please let Santa go? He's also got a lot to do before Christmas...
