An incredible tip was Left at the Stumble Inn Bar

A whopper of a tip was left at the Stumble Inn Bar in Londonderry, New Hampshire, according to wmur.com, and the big tipper wants to remain anonymous.

The pandemic was brutal to restaurants and restaurant workers.  The struggle they had though the pandemic was rough forcing many to close and many others to quickly pivot to take out only on short notice.

So to see this kind of monster tip is awesome.

Just a Customer who Ordered Some Chili dogs, Fried Pickle Chips and Drinks

There was nothing to alert the staff that a $16,000 tip may be coming their way.  The customer’s tap was only $37.93, but the tip they left was $16,000, the news station reported.

Owner Mike Zarella tells wmur.com, “It was on the credit card statement, they put it down next to the register and he said three times, ‘Don’t spend it all in one place.’ That’s was made her flip it over and look, and she’s like, ‘Oh my god, are you serious?’ And he said, ‘I want you to have it, you guys work hard.”

Is it Real?

Yes, it’s real.  The bartenders on duty immediately called the owner.  The bar manager checked with the customer to double-check that he really meant to leave a $16,000 tip, the news station reported.  The tipper doesn’t want any attention.

He tells News 9 he is not a regular.

If you were a server and got a tip like that what would you do?  Well, the server at the Stumble Inn Bar is giving a large portion of it to the kitchen staff.  Kind of a pay-it-forward situation.  When something that good comes your way, it’s always a good idea to pay it forward.

What a generous customer and fantastic wait staff at the Stumble Inn Bar in Londonderry.  You all deserve it!
