$20,000 Still Up For Grabs In Real Maine Treasure Hunt
We really cannot believe that this real life hidden treasure, valued at twenty grand, still has not yet been found!
It was back in early 2021 that we first heard about the Dirigo Treasures Maine treasure hunt. The game had been designed by a couple named Kelly and Kurt Stokes as a way to celebrate the State of Maine's bicentennial. In order to play the game, players need to get out of their houses and visit different parts of the state. In some cases, the game will take them to places they never would have visited otherwise.
Can you think of a better way to get the family outside and to learn about the state that we love? And, the prize is just the icing on the cake.
The game materials, needed to play the game (and locate the treasure), do have a small cost. Depending on the version of the game you purchase, it will cost between $20 and $40. And, there is a charitable aspect to it. Money from the sale of each game will be donated to two Maine charities - the Maine Cancer Foundation and Maine Rivers.
As of early in the Spring of 2023, the treasure had not yet been found!
