The 30th Annual NHSPCA Paws Walk Returns This June for a ‘Most Barktacular Day’
Calling all animal lovers, pet parents, and those who want to support a wonderful cause. A beloved annual fundraiser is returning this June to Stratham, New Hampshire, and did we mention it's pet-friendly?
The New Hampshire SPCA is celebrating their 130th anniversary as "the oldest animal welfare organization in the state of New Hampshire", according to their website. This June, they'll be hosting the 30th annual Paws Walk on Sunday, June 5, at Stratham Hill Park.
What is the Paws Walk?
This fun and special event is the shelter's largest annual fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards providing "life-saving care for pets in need", according to the Facebook event. This year, the SPCA hopes to raise $120,000 according to their campaign.
The festivities will begin at 10 AM, during which you can explore different tents focused on adoption, merchandise, and more. You could also get to know other pets and their humans, bring your canine to a doggy day spa, and more. The short walk will kick off at noon. People often participate to honor pets that have made a difference in their lives, or to show support for the SPCA's mission.
The below video from 2019 goes into more detail about what the Paws Walk is all about. That year's Walk was attended by over a thousand people, plus lots of four-legged friends, of course.
The SPCA is encouraging participants to "Get ready for a most barktacular day", and we're sure this special event will be just that.
