With school out its time for the kids to get some sun, fun, and exercise. Summer is a great time to do some out of classroom learning, and of course spend some family time together.

Costing only $8 per Family, this event is held every Thursday and Saturday at the Amoskeag Fishways Learning Center in Manchester. Combining their love of the outdoors with their eagerness to learn, kids get to plant seeds and learn about the life cycle of plants while playing games and enjoying nature.

Amoskeag Fishways offers tons of summer and spring activities, including weekly Family Fun Nights each Friday from 6:30-8:00pm. Great for kids to learn about ecology and better understand the world around them. Family fun nights include group activities and crafts.

3. Somersworth International Childrens Festival - Somersworth

Come to Somersworth Saturday, June 18th at Noble Pines Park as citizens gather in local pride and breathe life into the busy town. Activities include live entertainment, an array of tasty foods, and crafts. There will also be a celebration the night before, Friday June 17th, featuring a concert and fireworks.

4. Harry Potter Library Exhibit - Laconia

The Laconia Public Library will be the first library in New Hampshire to host  "Harry Potter's World: Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine," a traveling exhibit sponsored by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. This informative and educational exhibit is fun for Potter fans of all ages, even featuring an adult night on Monday June 27th. The exhibit will be open until July 15th.

Like taking your kids to a family barbecue without the forced awkward social interactions of extended family, check out the NH Ribfest from June 17-19th. 6. Rayne's Fairy Festival - North Conway

June 17th-18th, the second annual fairy festival will focus on the magic of nature. Sponsored by the Children's Museum, the event will feature live music, tons of crafts, a nature hunt, and more!

7. New Hampshire Dairy Day - Milton

Come to the New Hampshire Farm Museum June 18th from 10am-4pm for a day of outdoor fun! Horse-drawn carriage rides and butter churning demonstrations for the kids, NH cheese tastings and historic barn tours for the adults. Oh, and don't forget the free ice cream courtesy of Lone Oak Ice Cream starting at noon (while supplies last).
