97.5 WOKQ Acoustic Country Brings Hot New Artists to Seacoast in May 2024

2024 is the debut of this epic event in the spring, moving from November to May.

It's the third annual songwriters event, and it sells out every year. It's all to benefit Surfrider Foundation/New Hampshire Chapter.

97.5 WOKQ has curated some of the hottest new country singers/songwriters in Nashville, starring Matt Stell, with his number one song "Prayed for You" and his current single "Breakin' In Boots."

Matt was accepted to Harvard University's Pre-Med Program but chose the Nashville route to create music instead.

Fun fact: Matt Stell is the last artist to play Blue Ocean Music Hall before they closed due to the pandemic.  Welcome back, Matt.

Dillon Carmichael debuted with the strong single, "Son of A," and is currently near the top of the charts with the catchy "Drinkin' Problems."

Dillon is the nephew of country singers Eddie Montgomery (Montgomery Gentry) and John Michael Montgomery.  He's already a fan favorite in New England and will be joining us just after a European tour with Jon Pardi.

Meghan Patrick has had success in her native Canada, and recently released "Spirits & Demons" with Michael Ray.  She has a gorgeous voice with a rockin' attitude, making her a perfect choice as the only female in our songwriters' round.

She's married to fellow singer/songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny and is just coming off international shows in Ontario.

Josh Ross just played in Boston, as an opener for Bailey Zimmerman.  He had the crowd moving and shaking as he created on stage the excitement level of a headliner.

His first single, "Trouble", was a huge success in introducing this Canadian songwriter and singer to U.S. audiences, but his second single, "Single Again", is already off to a rocketing start.

If you saw him in Boston, you get him.  He's touring with BZ and Luke Bryan this year. Don't miss Josh in this acoustic setting.

Kelsey Hart is heating up the streaming world with his love song "Life With You", but more importantly, he was recently signed to Curb Records in Nashville.  Growing up in Kentucky, he spent a lot of time listening to a few guys with soulful voices. Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, and Brooks & Dunn (Ronnie Dunn) all made an impact at a young age for him.  Kelsey is making his Opry debut in June, but we get to here him first.
