A Farmington Church Is Designated As An Historic Structure
(Farmington, NH) - The First Congregational Church has been named to the National Register of Historic Places.
The New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources calls the church as an excellent example of Gothic Revival architecture and an example of the work of architect Frederick N. Footman.
Footman was a Somersworth native and one of the first students in the architectural program at MIT.
Built in 1875, this is the oldest church in continuous use in Farmington.
