A Maine Artist Has Been Named The BHTNH Citizen Of The Year
(Portssmouth, NH) - The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire has named Ashley F. Bryan the recipient of this years award.
The 95-year old Bryan is an illustrator, poet, puppeteer, storyteller and scholar of African American folklore.
He retired in 1988 after serving as head of Visual Studies at Dartmouth College
Bryan will be honored at the Black New England Conference on October 19th at UNH in Durham.
