Adam Sandler has been making the rounds lately to promote his new film “Uncut Gems” and it appears as if he is holding nothing back.  Down to earth celebs make my day and I cheer for them and wish them success.  There aren’t too many good guys like Sandler.  Maybe it’s his New England upbringing.

Fox News Entertainment is reporting on Sandler’s reacting to getting fired from Saturday Night Live which he discussed in an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”  He said, “At the time, I was hurt because I didn’t know what else I was going to do.”  “I know it wasn’t Lorne [Michaels’] decision.

The NBC head dude, I know he didn’t like our gang.”  Sandler went on to describe that his buddy Chris Farley had also been fired.  He said they got together and covered their sadness with a bunch of “f—k you blah, blah, blah” and tried to be tough about it but it hurt him deeply.

Sandler also confessed that he would probably still be on the show if he wasn’t fired because he is “not good at saying goodbye.”  For any of us that have been fired from a job, I think his reaction is so relatable it strikes a chord.  I know I have felt the same way when fired from a gig when new management came in. Not fun!
