Adorable Martha Stewart-like Farm Stand in Massachusetts Will Amaze You
If you don't know where this little gem is, you might just drive by it. This is one gorgeous little farm stand in the charming town of Ipswich, Massachusetts.
When I first walked into this lovely little wooden structure, I was blown away by how special it was. Northern Lights Farm wasn't a typical farm stand with bins and fruit and no charm. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Special care had been taken in the design and decor of the building and interior.
The owner worked with Martha Stewart for a time, and it shows by the creativity inside and outside the farm. Inside is warm and lovingly cared for with cards, Amish jams and jellies, quilted potholders, Amish made brooms, homemade pies, wool rugs on the floor and art on the walls. This is definitely not your typical farm stand.
There are farm animals for the kids, like ducks, chickens, donkeys, goats, pigs, and a rabbit that greets you at the main door.
The flowers are beautiful and year-round. If you are looking for a bouquet, the farm always has ready-made bouquets, and you can also pick your own flowers to make your own arrangement. Find mandevillas, gladiolas, sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, and many more local flowers as the seasons change.
A theme on the farm is "everything Amish", including locally handmade Mennonite furniture, Amish jams, jellies, and canned fruits, Amish made pot holders and placemats, aprons, and the famous Amish brooms. The honey is local too, and a top seller, with an Italian bee hive demonstration frame in the store.
The vegetables are bright and colorful, which means healthy. Heirloom tomatoes are a favorites, plus specialty items like garlic scapes and watermelon radishes. Fresh fruits and veggies are from the farm, and mostly all organic.
