From a Semi Truck to a Billion Streams: Atlus Is Coming to WOKQ Sessions
Every once in a while, you hear an artist’s story and think, Okay, I need to hear this guy’s music. That’s pretty much where I landed with Atlus.
The rising country artist is coming to Dover this week for an intimate performance at WOKQ Sessions Presented by Newburyport Bank, and his path to getting here has been anything but traditional.
Who Is Atlus?
Well, before the record deal, the massive streaming numbers and the shows with some of country music’s biggest artists, Atlus was working as a commercial truck driver.
He started writing songs while spending long hours behind the wheel, working to support his family and putting money aside so he could eventually get into a studio.
Apparently that plan is working.
Atlus has since built an enormously crazy following online, he has racked up more than a billion on-demand streams and earned a Platinum single and he's comng to WOKQ.
He’s also shared the stage with Jelly Roll at Red Rocks, landed among Pandora’s 2026 Artists to Watch in Country and signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
Not bad for somebody who essentially started building his music career from the cab of a truck.
Atlus Is Bringing His Music to WOKQ
Atlus visits WOKQ on Wednesday, October 7, for a special WOKQ Sessions performance and we may be able to squeeze a few more of you in. If you are intersted, message us on the WOKQ App or send an email to me garret.doll@townsquaremedia.com
And Sessions is a little different from seeing an artist at a regular concert.
There’s no massive stage, pyro or lawn packed with thousands of people.
Instead, it’s an artist, their songs and a small group of WOKQ listeners getting to experience the music up close.

That’s really the point of WOKQ Sessions.
The series is designed to help New England country fans discover artists at every level, from musicians playing local breweries and songwriter nights to regional performers building audiences across New England and developing national artists coming out of Nashville.
The Music Behind Atlus
Atlus released his label-debut album, Art of Letting Go, in 2026.
His sound isn’t confined to one little country music box, either. There are pieces of country, rock, pop and hip-hop in what he does, tied together by very personal songwriting.
One of the songs you’ll want to know is “Devil Ain’t Done,” his debut country radio single.
But what makes an artist like Atlus especially interesting in a setting like WOKQ Sessions is getting to hear the stories behind those songs.
You can stream a song a thousand times and still learn something completely different when the person who wrote it is standing a few feet away telling you why it exists.
That’s one of my favorite things about WOKQ Sessions.
Sometimes we bring in an artist you already know.
Sometimes we bring in someone you’re about to know.
And every once in a while, you get to look back and say, “Wait…I saw that guy at WOKQ before everybody was talking about him.”
Atlus comes to 97.5 WOKQ Sessions Wednesday, October 7.
The next song. The next artist. Right here.
