Consumer Reports announced the results of their annual Holiday spending survey on CBS THIS MORNING and it looks like a busier shopping year.

They predict that holiday spending will be up 21 per cent from last year.  The consumers surveyed saying they will spend an average of $529 dollars up from $437 in 2014.  Some of the respondents saying that they are "feeling generous" and "flush with cash" some with pay raises and better paying jobs in 2015.

And most of the spending will be for Clothing at #1...Small electronics (smartphones, headphones etc.) at #2 and big ticket items like computers and televisions in 3rd place on the spending chart.

52 per cent say they will pay for their gift giving with cash. that's up 12 per cent from last year.
