Barrington Crash Victim Identified [NEWS]

(Barrington, NH) - NH State Police have identified the man killed in a head-on crash in Barrington Monday morning.

Authorities say 50 year old Gary Babineau of Fremont was driving a pick-up eastbound on Route 9 and attempted to turn left onto Ramsdell Lane when he was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer rig.

Babineau was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester where he died of his injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 53 year old Keith Annis of Center Barnstead, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash just after 8:45 Monday morning closed a section of Route 9 for several hours.
