Bernie’s Beach Bar at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire Announced Its 2026 Opening Date

There are a few signs that summer is actually on the way in New Hampshire… and this is one of the big ones.

Bernie’s Beach Bar just announced via Facebook they’re opening for the season on May 14th, and I don’t know about you, but that date is officially circled.

IYKYK... Bernie’s at Hampton Beach, this isn’t just a quick stop for a drink. This is a stay awhile, and suddenly it’s sunset kind of place.

And if you haven’t been yet, consider this your heads up.

First off, the deck. It’s the largest deck on Hampton Beach, which means you’re not fighting for a tiny corner spot while trying to catch a glimpse of the ocean. You’re in it. Full view, ocean breeze, people-watching is the best.

The vibe is on point. Bernie’s has that perfect mix of laid-back and lively. You’ve got live bands playing, people hanging out with friends, and that buzz of energy that just feels like summer showed up early on the Seacost.

The drinks are fire? This is where they really lean into the beach bar name. Fresh fruit cocktails, cold beers, and the kind of drinks that somehow taste better when you’re staring at the water.

And the food holds its own too. It’s not just “bar food”, it’s the kind of stuff you order thinking you’ll share… and then don’t.

What I love most is that Bernie’s feels like one of those places you tell friends about like it’s your own little discovery, but it's not.
