I would think ever since there has been snow and giant slabs of wood that human beings have enjoyed the thrill that is sledding. The very first sleds were made out of animal hides, wood, and bone and the first documented sled ride was around 1900 B.C. in the deserts of ancient Egypt.

If you drive by Derryfield Country Club on any given day in the Winter you will see it filled to the brim with neighborhood kids and fun-loving adults. We also love the fact that there is a bar and restaurant open on site. Carb up before your sliding adventures with their Derryfield Breakfast which is only $6.45. (According to NH Magazine) Also parking is easy as everyone parks in the big parking lot across from the fire station.
