For all those of you that are missing your Whopper fix in Dover, there is some good news.

According to Fosters.com, the Burger King in Dover hopes to open in about two months.

James Maxfield, a building official with the city of Dover said in the article: “They definitely want to open, there’s no question about that. They definitely want to do the right thing, and they don’t want to have to work on the building again after they reopen."

The Dover Burger King has experienced some troubled times. A water leak over the food preparation area forced its closure on September 18 of 2018 by city health inspectors. According to fosters.com, the owners have struggled to make the necessary repairs to get it up and running again. It’s been a long process.

Maxfield said that the owners are hoping to quickly get the construction done but “Everybody is busy…the owners would like the contractors to make this job a priority so they can get reopened, but in the Seacoast market, all the contractors are really busy.”

In addition to the repair of the roof, fosters.com is reporting that the owners are replacing the electrical service to the building and making renovations.

Whopper and onion rings coming right up.
