Everybody loves cheese. How can you not?

Not only does it taste delicious and go with countless dishes, but according to some studies, it supposedly activates the same parts of the brain as hard drugs do. Regardless of how factual that is, it may as well be true for this writer.

Now, a restaurant devoted to all things grilled cheesy goodness has officially opened its doors in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Congress Street. That's right, it's Cheese Louise.

According to their website, Cheese Louise specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches, but also offers soups, salads, and a variety of beverages. The restaurant has existing locations in Portland, Maine, and the Conway, New Hampshire area, as well as some food trucks like this one:

Now, Cheese Louise is making its Seacoast debut and joining the thriving Portsmouth food scene.

The restaurant had a line out the door a few days ago on its opening day, when the space officially opened to the public. You can take a look at this video to see more. We don't doubt that these patrons were eagerly awaiting some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. This writer's getting hungry just thinking about it.

Here's a special look inside the new location. We especially love the "Sweet Dreams Are Made of Cheese" wall art. There's no doubt that this place will make its mark on the food community here on the Seacoast, and we can't wait to visit.

Cheese Louise is open daily from 11am-9pm Sundays through Thursdays, and 11am-1am Fridays and Saturdays. You can learn more here.

Here are some other restaurants that have opened in Seacoast New Hampshire and Maine as of late.
