These days are pretty rough when it comes to going to the grocery store once you get to the check out.  We have completely stopped going to the grocery store on a weekly basis like we used to because it was just too expensive to get whatever we wanted.  We are now watching the prices closely.

According to a report from Consumer Reports, Costco is the cheapest place in New England for groceries is 21% cheaper than Walmart. BJ's was second, followed by Aldi's.

The most expensive grocery store should come as no surprise.  Whole Foods was 40% more expensive than Walmart.

Is Costco Coming to Newington, NH?

Remember when Portsmouth had a Costco?  It closed in the mid '90's, I wanna say?  It was because of low memberships.  Now, however, there are solid rumors that Costco is coming to Newington.  The developers didn't say that outright, however, the DID say there would be 'warehouse membership' store part of the plan at Seacoast Landing.

In years past, I had never been a Costco shopper, but now that they might be heading to the Seacoast, I'm gonna give the store another chance since they have been named the cheapest grocery store in New England. Also, I hear the chicken pies at Costco are out of this world.
