With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing its run throughout the country, Seacoast counties and municipalities across parts of New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts have been no exception.

Here are the current trends of coronavirus spread on the Seacoast.

Among New Hampshire Seacoast municipalities, the biggest hotspot for active cases of COVID-19 is Durham, home of the main University of New Hampshire campus. Durham had 120 active infections as of Monday, March 1.

Portsmouth ranked second among New Hampshire Seacoast municipalities with 52 infections as of Monday. Dover had 46 coronavirus cases and Rochester had 33. Barrington had 30 to round out the top five.

About 12% of active cases in the state exist within those five municipalities alone.

About 164 cases of coronavirus were announced by New Hampshire on Monday.

In Maine, about 21% of all cases since March are associated with York Country, while in Massachusetts approximately 15% of cumulative cases have come in Essex County.
