Have you ever heard of "cuddlers"?  If you have, it's most likely by way of a pediatric hospital which has volunteers called "cuddlers".

Babies in the hospital without their parents there 24/7, need to be held, cuddled, and connect with human warmth for a feeling of safety.

Hugs are Encouraged

The same is true for animals, so if you are an animal lover, here's your chance to cuddle with cows.  Yes, that's right, cuddle with cows!

There's a farm halfway between Keene and Peterborough, New Hampshire is the charming small town of Harrisville.

In Harrisville, you will find the Granite Oak Farm, the home of not only cow cuddling but also sheep and goat herding experiences.

Cow cuddling appointments are available year round, and you can also bottle feed a calf as part of your experience, if there's one available and young enough to bottle feed.

I know what you're thinking.  Cow's don't really give off that snuggly vibe.  Well, these mini-Highlands do.  Come say hello to Biscuit and Barley. They love interacting with people, as do Peppermint and her mama Lilly.

Goats are An Option Too

Appointments are available Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 4pm, rain or shine, and by pre-scheduling only here.  You must be 10+ years old.

Maybe cows don't get you feeling all warm and fuzzy, and that's ok.  If goats or sheep are more your inner chi, try the "Herding Experience".  You'll have to dress appropriately to be outside in a field where goats and sheep roam.

The Herding Experience is not offered in the winter, but you can go as a group and ages 5 and older are welcome.  As the staff says,

You'll be able to interact with them for up to an hour. Tell them your stresses, your secrets, or just laugh at their antics!

Goats are very funny.
