Cruising is one of the best forms of vacationing.

Upon arrival, you are treated like royalty, have unlimited food, non stop entertainment...there really is only one negative (for pet owners anyway).

That one negative is that you can't bring your K9 best friend...or can you?

Unlike nearly every other cruise line in the world, Cunard Cruise line allows you to bring your pets...and they have a departing port in New York - super close to New England.

Can you imagine taking your furry pal on the vacation of their (and your) lifetime?

According to a Cunard article, the cruise line has transported hundreds of thousands of pets on their ships (including famous animals like Britain's Got Talent Winners).

If you are to book a cruise with your pet attending, at least on Cunard Cruise Line, your pet is treated like an actual guest as well.

According to a Cruise Critic article, pets on board Cunard Cruise Ships are given a complimentary pet portrait so that you can remember every moment of the vacation together.

There are certain rules/requirements you have to meet for your pet to get on board such as a micro-chip, rabies certificate, and other medical records for your pet.

On board the Queen Mary 2, the cruise ship has 24 kennels, allowing for 24 pets to get on board - but pet reservations are often booked two years before the departing date.

If you are curious about where the Queen Mary 2, departing from NY, travels to, check out the website here.
